Bring non-perishable items on February 11th to help combat hunger in the Durham Region, including Pickering, ON.

As followers of Christ, we are called to love and serve others—extending compassion to those in need (Matthew 25:35-36).

In these challenging times, the need within our community is greater than ever before. Inflation and the rising cost of food have led to unprecedented highs in visits to food banks across Durham Region.

Let’s come together as a community to make an immediate difference in the lives of those facing hunger in our community.

Winter Food Drive

How you can participate

🛒 Collect non-perishable food items: Fill up a bag or box with non-perishable items that can sustain and nourish those in need. You can drop off items at 817 Kingston Rd, Pickering, ON on February 11th between 3pm to 5pm.

📲 Spread the word: Print our flyer to share with family, friends and local circles, and extend the reach by posting this page on your social media. Your community effort, both in print and online, can create a meaningful impact for our community.

🙏 Pray for our community: Lift up the individuals and families who will be recipients of the food drive. Pray that God’s love and provision may reach every corner of our community, bringing hope and comfort.

Feeding Durham

We will be donating the food collected to Feed the Need in Durham. FTND collects, processes and shares food with front line emergency food providers across Durham. The food drive donations will be processed and distributed anywhere from Pickering to Bowmanville and right up to Brock municipality.

Over 10,000 people in Durham rely on food banks each month.

38% of all food bank visits were made by children and youth under the age of 18.
